Professional Help on a Sliding Scale

To offer therapeutic support at an accessible range of price points, I am pleased to introduce my three Psychological Assistants. These professionals are under my supervision while earning their postdoctoral hours and working toward their licensure as psychologists.

Valerie

Valerie Roberts, PsyD

PSB94023950

Dr. Roberts specializes in working with children, teens, and their families.

“I believe that relationships require honesty and transparency, so I strive to model both for my clients. Adolescence is hard, both for the teen and for the parents. Often times the struggle seems to outweigh the reward and we lose sight of how beautiful and necessary this phase of life is. I work to mend family relationships and find joy in the adolescent phase instead of “just trying to get through it.”

stilwell2018

Denise Stilwell, PsyD

PSB94023952

Dr. Stilwell ‘s specialties include chronic pain and body image concerns.

“Working as nurse prior to becoming a psychologist has informed how I treat my therapy clients. I truly appreciate the intricate connection between mind and body. Identity issues, life transitions, stress, managing medical issues and relationship challenges are my areas of expertise. Supporting adolescents, adults, and couples shore up existing coping skills and create new roads to healing is where I come in. Psychotherapy is often the missing piece in the path to healing. So, let’s bring the mind and body together toward a common goal – your health and happiness.”
